How could I change my Netgear extender Wi-Fi password?

Sometimes, after using the Netgear wireless range extender for a while, we forgot the Wi-Fi password of Netgear wireless range extender and we are not able to connect any new device with Netgear wireless range extender. But, we do not have to worry under these conditions. We could change the wireless password for Netgearwireless range extender anytime we want very easily. We could change the password as well we could retrieve it. There are different ways to change and retrieve the password of Wi-Fi of Netgear wireless range extender.

# logging in to www.mywifiext.net

The easiest way to retrieve or change a password would be visiting www.mywifiext.net. We just have to open any web browser on our computer and we have to put www.mywifiext.net on the address bar of that browser and search it. After searching, we would be asked to log in into the Netgear account which we created during the initial setup of Netgear wireless range extender. Once we will be logged in, we just have to go settings followed by wireless settings. On wireless settings, we could click on the security key and from there we could just write it down somewhere else or if we want to change the password, we could do it from there very easily.

# By making a hardwire connection

If it doesn’t work the way we discussed above, we could connect the Netgear wireless range extender directly to our home router with the help of an Ethernet cable.  After making the connections, we just have to open any web browser on our computer and we have to put the default IP address of the Netgear wireless range extender on the address bar of the web browser and search it. After searching, we would be again on the page to log in into the Netgear account. After that, we could simply follow the instructions as discussed above to change the Wi-Fi password of Netgear wireless range extender.

#If nothing works, reset the Netgear wireless range extender

If all the ways discussed above doesn’t work, the last option with which we left, that will work definitely is to reset the Netgear wireless range extender. There would be a rest hole at the back of Netgear wireless range extender. We just have to rese the Netgear wireless range extender to its factory defaults. Once, the Netgear wireless range extender will be reset, we just have to set it up all over again like we first bought it and this time we would be able to choose a new password for the Wi-Fi of Netgear wireless range extender.
