How to make sure Netgear extender is connected to your existing wifi network

As we know when we purchase any wifi device we have to set it up first. Same is applicable for the Netgear wireless range extender as well. Firstly we have to plug in the Netgear wireless range extender in the same room as router is placed. Then we have to set it up using the web browser setup or wifi protected setup. We can use any of the one which we would like to. While using the web browser setup we have to open the webpage www.mywifiext.net on any browser of a desktop computer or laptop. Once you will visit this webpage you have to follow some instructions and you would be able to set it up.

#Using wifi protected setup

You can also use the wifi protected setup as well to setup your Netgear extender. In wifi protected setup we have to press the WPS button on the  extender and then we have to press the WPS button our wifi router as well. After sometime the Netgear wireless range extender would be able to establish a connection with your wifi router. Whether we are using the web browser setup or the WPS how can we make sure that the Netgear extender has been setup properly?  To do that the first thing we will do is we will check the status of led’s on the Netgear extender. If there would be four solid green lights on the extender that means it has been setup properly and you do not have to do anything further to set it up.

#Mistake we do after setting up the Netgear wireless range extender

The most common mistake we do that after setting up the Netgear wireless range extender , we think all the work has been done ad we place it somewhere at our home. Then after a while we start noticing that our issues has not been resolved even after installing the netgear wireless range extender. Because that is not the right way to use the Netgear extender. Once we have setup the Netgear extender and have placed it somewhere in our home, we have to connect our wifi devices with the netgear extender. Then only the issues regarding the wifi range could be resolved.

#Connecting with Netgear extender

After setting up the Netgear wireless range extender we have to connect all the devices to the extender in which we were having the problem related to the internet speed. Suppose there is a TV in a room at your home which is not near to the place where your router is place and you are having problem streaming online videos, movies or anything else. You are getting a very low speed internet on that TV. At this situation what you have to do is just connect that particular TV with your Netgear wireless range extender. Once you do that your every problem will be resolved regarding the coverage area or with the internet speed. By this way the Netgear extender is able to boost the wifi range of your router network.
